This is the standard in portable stacking racks. This rack is designed to safely store products of almost any size or weight. Most customers use stack racks that are similar to standard wood pallets in size – 40” x 48”, 48” x 48”, 60” x 60” – but we can produce any size you need up to 16 ft by 8 ft. Typical weight loads are 1,000 pounds to 4,000 pounds per rack when the racks are stacked 5 high (a total weight of up to 20,000 pounds in a tier). For those customers who have heavier loads, we have upon occasion built racks that could hold loads in excess of 10,000 pounds each.
Most portable racks are used as warehouse storage racks, manufacturing racks, and shipping racks. They are a storage solution that saves space, reduces material handling time and saves their users money. Portable stack rack saves space because they allow you to take raw materials or finished product off the floor and stack them into a rack system that utilizes unused overhead space. With the stacking posts installed, your steel pallet becomes a stackable pallet or "stacker". This can have the additional benefit of protecting your goods from damage by getting them out of the way of daily forklift activity. Handling time is reduced because stacking racks can be loaded directly from incoming trailers; loads can be stored in tiers closer to the point where they are needed; fully loaded racks can be designed to be carried two at a time by a forklift.
