Carpet and padding take up a lot of room when stored on pallets. At the most you can stack the rolls into a pyramid, and even then there is a chance that the rolls will fall onto the floor. A Tier-Rack® carpet & pad rack allows the carpet or padding to be stacked in a dense bundle, while permitting the carpet and padding to be stacked 4 or 5 levels high in the racks. The result is that you can store about three times as many rolls per pallet position, multiplied by the number of racks high that you can stack. This opens up a large amount of valuable floor space for other uses.

The portable stacking racks also provide security for the rolls of carpet or padding as they are being moved in your operation. It is often faster and easier for a forklift truck to pick up a loaded stack rack than a pallet of loose carpet. The rolls are also held securely as the rack containing the carpet or padding is moved, which means less chance of injury caused by rolls falling from pallets.
